World of Food: The Disneyland Paris Food Blog

I started my Restaurant En Coulisse  review by explaining that the food reputation at Disneyland Paris is often described as "meh". This is because of a variety of factors such as lack of good quality, price and the most common one, crowding!  Like seriously, have a gander at Trip Adviser now and you'll see that people are docking marks for crowding and/or the food quality left, right and centre. So today, I decided to create a short guide on how to reduce the damage and 1-2 suggestions that I believe Disneyland Paris should implement in order to get their act together. What you can do? All problems that, with a little bit of a planning, can be minimised or avoided altogether.  The first issue is that the counter-service restaurants are super crowded to the point where seating becomes an issue. It's gone through multiple name changes and is actually older than me. Disneyland Paris has a lot of restaurants. If it didn't, this blog would be very short and very boring. However, I started to think the other day about what restaurants would compliment the current line-up. So here is a short little list with my personal ideas and suggestions of where they could go. 1. A family style restaurant in Frozen Land  Picture Source: Disneyland Paris Treasures For those of you who are new to Disney Dining terminology, a family style restaurant is a hybrid between a buffet restaurant and a table-service restaurant. Your server brings the food to your table and you are entitled to have as many servings as you wish. It's really good because you get the typically higher quality table-service fare with the flexibility to eat as much as you wish. Disneyland Park is a theme park. Granted it's a magical theme park but it a theme park nevertheless. So I thought it would make sense to talk about my top 5 favourite rides at Disneyland Park. As somebody who's been on every single ride apart from two, I believe I'm a pretty good judge by now. So without further ado... 5. Casey Jr. - Le Petit Train du Cirque Literally translating as the little circus train, Casey Jr is a very fun ride that is surprisingly nippy for a children's roller-coaster. It's in Fantasyland next to Le Pays des Contes de Fees (or as I like to call them, the magical boats that are never open) and both rides are known for their extremely short wait times. The train that you ride in is bright, colourful and downright adorable and the fairy-tale scenes that you whizz past are beautiful. Fact File Location: Disneyland Park/Adventure Land Type of restaurant: Buffet Service Cost: 33 euro for an adult with a drink and 18 euro for a child. This restaurant is also on the Standard level of the meal plan.   Option to reserve a table: Yes. Character Dining: No I briefly mentioned Agrabah Cafe  during my Plaza Gardens  review. So it was only a matter of time before it got its own separate review.  Themed around the iconic Disney film Aladdin , Agrabah Cafe  is the most themed buffet restaurant in Disneyland Paris. From the carpets hanging above your tables to the market stalls that hold your food. A visit to this restaurant is a must for your eyes alone because it is absolutely beautiful.  According to the Disney Tourist Blog , the theming is due to the restaurant originally being a sub-land within Adventureland to tie the middle eastern theming into the park. Fact-File Location: Disneyland Park/ Frontierland  Type of restaurant: Currently table service (I'll explain the currently in this review).  Cost: 23 euro for an adult combo meal, 13 euro for a children's meal and 8 euro for an afternoon treat. Option to reserve a table : No. Character Dining : Yes (signature experience only), Menus for anywhere change. This allows a fresh experience for the diners and thus allows more business for the restaurant. However, changing the type of restaurant you are is a completely different beast. During the last 5-10 years, The Lucky Nugget Saloon  has been a character dining buffet, a Tex-Mex buffet, a counter service eatery and now a table service restaurant that offers afternoon tea with the Disney characters.  This means that for the first time, I can't truly give you a 100% accurate review when it comes to the food because what I have personally experienced here, isn't recent enough to be justified with these new...

31 days to go. That's right, I go to Disneyland in 1 month and I  couldn't be any more excited. Why? Well, this year I am lucky to be going during 2 events. Firstly, Disneyland Paris' magical Christmas which is a fantastic event in itself and Mickey's 90th birthday party. This, combined with our plus Disney dining plan, means there's lots to look forward to. So here's the 9 things, I'm the most excited for. 1. Goofy's Incredible Christmas I love what Disney does at night. This is the same whether it's in Paris or across the Atlantic ocean. I don't know how, but Disney always manage to choreograph a spectacle for the eyes and ears. Until recently, Disneyland Paris have always been kept in Disneyland Park, with poor Walt Disney Studios being the neglected child.  This is no more (praise the lord)! Disney have now worked out how to use the iconic Tower of Terror ride as a basis for a brand new spectacle, combining Disney characters, music, ...

Fact-file: Location: Frontierland/Disneyland Park Type of restaurant: Counter Service.  Cost: 13-16 euro for an adult combo meal, 9 euro for a children's meal and 6 euro for a coffee break. Option to reserve a table: No. Character Dining: No.  There is one counter service in Disneyland Park that is leaps and bounds above the rest. One that has some of the BEST food in the whole park for really good value. This honour belongs to Cowboy Cookout Barbecue . There are many reasons why I have a soft spot for this place. Firstly, it's atmosphere is one of, if not the best counter service in Disneyland Paris. It's a good old fashioned western barn on the outside and the inside is adorned with wooden chairs and benches. Cowboy Cookout looks amazing. I challenge anybody who says otherwise.
