Let's start by addressing the fact, I've not written an entry for 20 days. I'm sorry folks but the term has started and with it all the not so wonderful paperwork. Normal service has now resumed (hopefully). So my top 5 Walt Disney Studios rides. If you think about it, it makes sense, especially given how I have already listed my top 5 rides for Disneyland Park . So without further ado, let us begin... 5. Fact File Location: Walt Disney Studios Type of restaurant: Table Service Cost: 46 euro for 3 courses on the Emile menu with a soft drink.This goes up to 67 euro if you are eating from the Gusteau menu. 19-33 euro for children according to menu selected.  Option to reserve a table: Yes Character dining: No I have previously said that one's dining experience at the studios varies entirely on what you are willing to pay. Whilst I bashed Restaurant en Coulisse as an overcrowded mess, I gave Resturant des Stars a 10/10 and called it my favourite dining location in the park. So the million euro question becomes where does Bistrot Chez Remy lie?  I will start by saying that this place has the best theming in the whole park. Whether it's the newspaper reviews that are in the lobby as you wait for your table or the bottle caps that are wired together to make your seating, this place is full of little Easter-eggs that will delight any fans of the original Pixar ...

I started my Restaurant En Coulisse  review by explaining that the food reputation at Disneyland Paris is often described as "meh". This is because of a variety of factors such as lack of good quality, price and the most common one, crowding!  Like seriously, have a gander at Trip Adviser now and you'll see that people are docking marks for crowding and/or the food quality left, right and centre. So today, I decided to create a short guide on how to reduce the damage and 1-2 suggestions that I believe Disneyland Paris should implement in order to get their act together. What you can do? All problems that, with a little bit of a planning, can be minimised or avoided altogether.  The first issue is that the counter-service restaurants are super crowded to the point where seating becomes an issue. It's time for the Beginner's Guide to Walt Disney Studios. This park can be described as "small but perfectly formed" and is designed to be a smaller version of Florida's Hollywood Studios. That being said, it does pip it's American brother in a few ways. For starters, at the time of writing, there are far more rides open at Walt Disney Studios whilst Hollywood Studios undergoes it's refurbishment. In addition, it is far easier to park hop between Walt Disney Studios and Disneyland Park than it is to park hop between Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom.  So with that, sit back, relax and let me walk through this park with you.  1. Disneyland Paris has a lot of restaurants. If it didn't, this blog would be very short and very boring. However, I started to think the other day about what restaurants would compliment the current line-up. So here is a short little list with my personal ideas and suggestions of where they could go. 1. A family style restaurant in Frozen Land  Picture Source: Disneyland Paris Treasures For those of you who are new to Disney Dining terminology, a family style restaurant is a hybrid between a buffet restaurant and a table-service restaurant. Your server brings the food to your table and you are entitled to have as many servings as you wish. It's really good because you get the typically higher quality table-service fare with the flexibility to eat as much as you wish. Despite this, Disneyland Paris is yet to have a family-style restaurant and I personally don't understand why. Fact-File Location: Walt Disney Studios Park Type of Resturant: Buffet service Cost: 33 euro for an adult buffet with a soft drink and 18 euro for a child's buffet with a soft drink. This restaurant is also on the standard level of the meal plan. Option to reserve a table: Yes Character Dining: No. Restaurant des Stars  is to Walt Disney Studios, what Plaza Gardens  is to Disneyland Park. Both of them are on the standard meal plan, they both are very popular and they both are buffet restaurants. So are there any differences?  Yes. For starters, I personally think that the theming here is done slightly better than it's Disneyland Park counterpart. Why? Mainly because of the little details, such as caricatures of famous film stars and little movie boards which are dotted around the restaurants. This combined with the traditional beauty shared by Plaza Gardens means I can't help but smile where I go to dine here.  Think of Art Deco Hollywood ...

Option to reserve a table : No Character Dining: No.  When it comes to food at Disney parks, Disneyland Paris has a bad reputation. Often seen as the black sheep of the Disney family when it comes to it's food selection, it is often described as overpriced and a little bit of a disappointment. Now, when people tell me this, I frequently point out places like Cowboy Cookout Barbecue   that offer great food at a somewhat reasonable (at least by Disney standards) cost.  So why do I think that it gets the reputation? I'm going to guess that people assume that every counter service is like Restaurant en Coulisse. A place that, despite it's bright flashing lights, doesn't really carry itself compared to other eateries in its category.  Brights lights, blah burgers. 31 days to go. That's right, I go to Disneyland in 1 month and I  couldn't be any more excited. Why? Well, this year I am lucky to be going during 2 events. Firstly, Disneyland Paris' magical Christmas which is a fantastic event in itself and Mickey's 90th birthday party. This, combined with our plus Disney dining plan, means there's lots to look forward to. So here's the 9 things, I'm the most excited for. 1. Goofy's Incredible Christmas I love what Disney does at night. This is the same whether it's in Paris or across the Atlantic ocean. I don't know how, but Disney always manage to choreograph a spectacle for the eyes and ears. Until recently, Disneyland Paris have always been kept in Disneyland Park, with poor Walt Disney Studios being the neglected child.  This is no more (praise the lord)!
