Agrabah Cafe

Fact File

  • Type of restaurant: Buffet Service
  • Cost: 33 euro for an adult with a drink and 18 euro for a child. This restaurant is also on the Standard level of the meal plan.
  •  Option to reserve a table: Yes.

I briefly mentioned Agrabah Cafe during my Plaza Gardens review. So it was only a matter of time before it got its own separate review.

Themed around the iconic Disney film Aladdin, Agrabah Cafe is the most themed buffet restaurant in Disneyland Paris. From the carpets hanging above your tables to the market stalls that hold your food. A visit to this restaurant is a must for your eyes alone because it is absolutely beautiful.

According to the Disney Tourist Blog, the theming is due to the restaurant originally being a sub-land within Adventureland to tie the middle eastern theming into the park. I would highly recommend reading their review because I found this story really interesting.

Food wise, Agrabah Cafe is one of the most adventurous restaurants in Disneyland Paris, period. Expect lightly spiced meat (there's the option to add more spices if you are braver), rosewater and pistachio flavoured desserts (their pistachio shortbread is fantastic and that's coming from a serious nut-hater) and a variety of Moroccan and middle Eastern sides. There's also a small kebab station complete with a variety of various sides and accompaniments so that you can create your dream kebab, without any need to drink lots beforehand.

This adventurous menu is fantastic for somebody like me who pretty much eats anything apart from eggs and green veg/cauliflower. However, if you have tiddlywinks who are far more picky than I am, then I would highly recommend that you sit down and google some pictures of the food or watch a YouTube video before you book the restaurant.

If you want to take your eyes and mouth on a magical adventure than this place is a must visit. I would highly recommend you book this ASAP if you are on the dining plan. However, be aware that picky eaters may not enjoy this as much as I have.

Final Score: 9.5/10

Cowboy Cookout Barbecue

Fact-file: Location: Frontierland/Disneyland Park Type of restaurant: Counter Service.  Cost: 13-16 euro for an adult combo meal, 9 euro for a children's meal and 6 euro for a coffee break. Option to reserve a table: No. Character Dining: No.  There is one counter service in Disneyland Park that is leaps and bounds above the rest. One that has some of the BEST food in the whole park for really good value. This honour belongs to Cowboy Cookout Barbecue . There are many reasons why I have a soft spot for this place. Firstly, it's atmosphere is one of, if not the best counter service in Disneyland Paris. It's a good old fashioned western barn on the outside and the inside is adorned with wooden chairs and benches. Cowboy Cookout looks amazing. I challenge anybody who says otherwise. Picture Description: Inside of a wooden barn with benches, tables and chairs. Picture Source: Disneyland Paris In addition, the restaurant offers a warm log fire in the wint...

McDonalds (yes I'm reviewing it).

Fact-File Location:  Disney Village Type of Restaurant: Counter Service Cost: 8-10 euro for an adult meal with a dessert. 5 euro for a children's meal. Option to reserve a table: No Character dining: No. Well what can I say? I decided to review McDonalds today but this isn't a normal maccies. It's a magical McDonalds at Disneyland. Well... it's not actually THAT magical. This restaurant is one of the least themed in the whole of the resort, in-fact for the large majority of you who have visited a McDonalds at least once in your life, this place will be very similar, if slightly larger and more French. Picture Source: Disneyland Paris That being said, with the name like McDonalds, there are some things you can trust. Firstly, you can expect your favourite dishes such as chicken nuggets, Big Macs, Fillet O Fish (although they call it the original name of McFish here) and McFlurry ice-creams. For breakfast, you can expect things like pancakes and McMuf...

Bistrot Chez Remy (aka Chef Remy)

Fact File Location: Walt Disney Studios Type of restaurant: Table Service Cost: 46 euro for 3 courses on the Emile menu with a soft drink. This goes up to 67 euro if you are eating from the Gusteau menu. 19-33 euro for children according to menu selected.  Option to reserve a table: Yes Character dining: No I have previously said that one's dining experience at the studios varies entirely on what you are willing to pay. Whilst I bashed Restaurant en Coulisse as an overcrowded mess, I gave Resturant des Stars a 10/10 and called it my favourite dining location in the park. So the million euro question becomes where does Bistrot Chez Remy lie?  I will start by saying that this place has the best theming in the whole park. Whether it's the newspaper reviews that are in the lobby as you wait for your table or the bottle caps that are wired together to make your seating, this place is full of little Easter-eggs that will delight any fans of the original Pixar ...
