I would like to begin this entry by thanking the thousands, if not millions of fish that die every year for our consumption. If it wasn't for you wonderful aquatic creatures, Cape Cod would be a very sorry affair.

Yes, Cape Cod, Newport Bay's buffet restaurant is an absolute haven for fish lovers. Whether it's the large variety of seafood based starters such as smoked salmon, shrimp and mackerel or the most beautifully cooked salmon on property, there is a fish dish for everyone's palette.

Now I love fish so I was a very happy teddy bear. The salmon in a white wine butter sauce melted in my mouth and was a real symphony of flavour. However, there wasn't really much for those who hated fish. There was an very decent roast with accompaniments and that's it on the savoury side. I apologise if you have vegans/vegetarians in your party because this buffet doesn't really have much for you unless you happen to like vegetable soup and salad.

Unfortunately the desserts also suffer from joining the "we hate vegan" clubs. So if you are doing veganuary, I'd hold fire on your visit here until February. However if you happen to love eating animal products, there's some really good stuff here. For example, there's "Hulk" lemon meringue which is finished with a white chocolate Hulk picture and tastes absolutely beautiful. There a little bit of mint in the lemon that elevates the flavour ten fold, needless to say I had plenty of these during my most recent trip here. The creme anglais here is also really smooth, creamy and beautiful. As a dessert fiend, I appreciated this very much!

Overall if you love fish, desserts or both, this place is a must visit and worth the 10 minute walk. However if you are a vegan or vegetarian, this place might not be the best place to part with your euros.

Final Score: 8.5/10

Cowboy Cookout Barbecue

Fact-file: Location: Frontierland/Disneyland Park Type of restaurant: Counter Service.  Cost: 13-16 euro for an adult combo meal, 9 euro for a children's meal and 6 euro for a coffee break. Option to reserve a table: No. Character Dining: No.  There is one counter service in Disneyland Park that is leaps and bounds above the rest. One that has some of the BEST food in the whole park for really good value. This honour belongs to Cowboy Cookout Barbecue . There are many reasons why I have a soft spot for this place. Firstly, it's atmosphere is one of, if not the best counter service in Disneyland Paris. It's a good old fashioned western barn on the outside and the inside is adorned with wooden chairs and benches. Cowboy Cookout looks amazing. I challenge anybody who says otherwise. Bistrot Chez Remy (aka Chef Remy)

Fact File Location: Walt Disney Studios Type of restaurant: Table Service Cost: 46 euro for 3 courses on the Emile menu with a soft drink. This goes up to 67 euro if you are eating from the Gusteau menu. 19-33 euro for children according to menu selected.  Option to reserve a table: Yes Character dining: No I have previously said that one's dining experience at the studios varies entirely on what you are willing to pay. Whilst I bashed Restaurant en Coulisse as an overcrowded mess, I gave Resturant des Stars a 10/10 and called it my favourite dining location in the park. So the million euro question becomes where does Bistrot Chez Remy lie?  I will start by saying that this place has the best theming in the whole park. Whether it's the newspaper reviews that are in the lobby as you wait for your table or the bottle caps that are wired together to make your seating, this place is full of little Easter-eggs that will delight any fans of the original Pixar ...
